Another Food Pic

I recently had all four of my wisdom teeth taken out. My dear husband, bless his heart, overestimated the amount of jello, popsicles, and pudding I would eat during my recovery. The kids have enjoyed my leftovers, but, as for me, I never want to see another pudding cup again!

Never Mind

I'm finding that it is just too much trouble to go private.

NYC

Max Brenner's
(think 20 page chocolate dessert menu and imagine the heaven I was in!)

Max Brenner's
(turns out they have great food too)
(Oh, and there is someone famous sitting behind me but I forget who, someone from Law and Order, I think)

Subway
(we rode it a lot and, thanks to Les, we never got lost)

Coney Island
(turned out to be dumpy-we did get a Coney island hot dog though)

Empire State Building
(we were too cheap to go up--$20/person geez!)

Times Square

Clinton Street Bakery--Our absolute favorite place we ate at in NYC
(famous for their blueberry pancakes with maple butter syrup and even better was the brioche french toast with caramelized bananas and pecans with maple butter syrup)

Lombardi's
(very fresh tasting--the first pizzeria in the U.S.)

Happy Birthday, Garren!

Garren was so happy to have his 4th birthday party. We celebrated at the beach along with his cousin, Connor, who turned 9.

Watermelon

Garren and Calvin couldn't get enough watermelon! Yet another perk of summer!

Table Manners

Unfortunately, if I don't get Calvin's bowl/plate as soon as he is finished eating he decides that his head is the best place for it to go. This is especially frustrating when we eat immediately after his bath. Oh well, live and learn I guess.

Baby Bird

For anyone that knows Chris it comes as no surprise that he has found yet another animal by our house. Although, I don't think it took his special skills to find this baby bird stuck in our lawnmower clipping bag. He bravely handled the scared bird and even fed him some juciy worms. What I loved was watching Chris teach Garren about the bird. What a great dad!

Fortney Family Pic

Finally, all the Fortney clan was together (usually 17 or 18 of us) sleeping under one roof. We had a great time! We had visions of going to Idewild Park and The Children's Museum in Pittsburgh but, when it came down to it, we just wanted to stay home and visit.

Cave Man

Daddy helped Garren build this awsome cave while I had a girl's night out. They used couch and chair cushions, pillows, a blanket, and a shoe box. He was so proud of it that when we played hide-and-seek the next day, he hid there every time (easier for me, I guess).
