Despite my brain telling me "NOOOO!", I let Garren play in our new top soil. He had trouble climbing up at first and said, "I'm too small." Once he defeated the small mountain he played all evening while Chris and I worked on the yard. He was filthy when we were done but I'm glad I let him do his "boy" thing. Calvin sat on the back porch in his bouncy chair and really seemed to enjoy watching us work and breathing the fresh air.
Ever hear of Mountaineer Mud? It's cornstarch, water, and food coloring. At first Garren hated it and he freaked out when it got on his hands. Then he warmed up to the idea of the liquid-solid goo. Soon it was all over his arms.
Since I'm cheap, I mean frugal, I've gotten pretty good at doing my own toes. I've also started doing everyone else's (mom, sisters, nieces). I wish I had a picture of Bethany's because they are so cute!
Finally, a good use for those free Disney stickers I get in the mail. First, I drew some bodies and then Garren chose which head to put on the bodies. He was so proud of it! And I was proud of him for putting the heads in the right place.
This fishing expedition wasn't as succesful as others have been, however, recently Chis got an interesting catch. While fishing near our house he cast his line and snagged an unlucky duck that happened to be flying by. Apparently you have to look both ways before you cast.
