Cutie

Calvin used to carry socks around hanging out of his mouth. Then, the other day I found him with a football hanging out of his mouth. The expression on his face let me know that he thought what he was doing was hilarious. Well Calvin, I agree!

Perfect Gift

Mother Nature gave me the perfect birthday gift today--a snow day! Chris let me sleep as long as I wanted (even though he didn't feel good) and he made some of his famous omelets, mmmmm. Garren and I went outside and played a while. He made some snow angels, I shoveled the sidewalk, I pulled him in his sled, and we tried unsuccessfully to build a snowman.

Luscious Locks

Chris has decided to grow his hair out in honor of the balding men who can't (and shouldn't). He's unsure how long he'll let it grow. Doesn't he look cute?!

Finally Walking

Calvin is finally walking (he's 15 months old)! It's so funny becuase he thinks he's doing the coolest trick in the world. He gets a huge cheese on his face and basks in our constant praises.

Feeding the Ducks

How did we go from sub-zero temps to this beautiful sunny day? To celebrate the warm weather we decided to go to the best duck spot in all of Keyser (or perhaps in all the world). While few in number during the winter, several ducks came with their appetites. We hate eating Cardboard, I mean generic Cheerios, but the ducks don't mind at all. It felt great to get the boys out of the house and get some fresh air (and a little bit of exercise). It is amazing what a little sunshine can do!

Like Father Like Son

Garren can often be found playing with his favorite Christmas present, his "bideo" game. Lately, he has been imitating his dad and yelling "Dang it!" and "Are you kidddding me?!".

Happy Birthday

The Birthday background is an homage to all the birthday's that are in January. There is my Dad, Chris, me, Kayla, Heather, Shannon, and Adam. Happy Birthday everyone! (add Bethany and Andrew to the birthday celebration)

Gingerbread Cookies

We finally got around to making gingerbread cookies as Garren's reward for his latest chore chart (next up is strawberry smoothies, I can't wait). I had fun with him but he got bored after a short while and I ended up making a zillion gingerbread men by myself. Thankfully, they tasted great but I'm not sure that it was worth the effort.

Lincoln Logs

When we were at Disney World waiting to be seated at the Wilderness Lodge for lunch, Garren and Daddy started playing with the Lincoln Logs. That got us thinking about a possible Christmas present. So Great-Grandma Fortney got Garren some Lincoln Logs for Christmas. On Sunday we had a fun time making different buildings. This one was the most complex and I (I mean Garren) was very proud of my (I mean his) efforts.

On the streets of the big city in Hollywood Studios

Garren and Calvin modeling hats a gift shop.

Chris's favorite restaurant in the world, The German Restaurant.

You know those fountains that look like the water is jumping around to different places. Well this is what happens when Daddy lets Garren get too close and Grandpa holds his hand up to stop the water.

The big golf ball (as Garren calls it)

Is that a temple, mommy? asks Garren

That spinning Mickey topiary was Calvins favorite thing in all of Disney World.
