Green Eggs and Ham

This morning for breakfast Garren was so excited (but when is he not) about making green eggs and ham. Calvin enjoyed them too.

Garren--"My Daddy can get me out of that tree, he's good at climbing."
G-ma Fortney--"Yes, your Daddy is good at everything, isn't he?"
Garren, "Yes. He's good at spanking, smacking, and snoring...HE'S GOOD AT EVERYTHING!"

Garren on Dating

I recently overheard the end of a conversation Garren was having with two small trucks. "No, I don't want to go on a date. But how about a friendship?" Garren then asked me what is a friendship. After I told him I asked him what is a date. He said, "That's where you go somewhere....without your kids." (June '10)

"I'd like to share my testimony..."

Garren was super excited to share his testimony. He ran full speed to the podium and then began to talk about his Daddy's new game, Oblivion 2, and how much he loved it. (April '10)

Disaster Averted

While picnicing in the park, Calvin picked up a blade of grass and put it to his lips. "NOOOOOO! THAT'S FOR HERBIVORES!", Garren screamed. (April '10)

Oh, Christmas Tree!

I caught Garren hugging the Christmas tree and saying "Christmas tree, you are the sweetest Christmas tree in the whole world." (December '09)

Bedtime

As I was putting Garren in bed I pulled up the covers all the way over his head. "Uh, mom?", he replied, "I think we have a problem here."

Tower Time

Garren and Calvin were building a tower out of the groceries I had just bought. Calvin swiped one of Garren's cream cheeses and he protested, "Hey, you took my secret ingredient!".
