Sitting Pretty

Calvin is beginning to sit up on his own. We joke that he has stronger stomach muscles than Garren (actually, I think that is a fair assessment).

Mama's Helper

Garren wanted to help me clean this morning. When I walked into the kitchen he warned me "Watch out mama. The kitchen's wet." And sure enough, he was right.

Spring Cleaning

Who would've thought that spring cleaning could be so dangerous?! While washing our knotty pine walls I ran my hand down a nail. Ouch! I carefully folded back that long flap of skin to its original place and I'm really hoping that it stays there. For the remainder of the walls I wore rubber gloves!

Outside Fun

I saw some tall grass that needed cut. Garren and Hayden saw a perfect place to play.

Future Fisherman

Calvin was very interested in Chris's new fishing pole. A sign of a future hobby? His dad sure hopes so!

Mud Buddies

Garren and Hayden had quite a good time getting dirty.

King of the Hill

Despite my brain telling me "NOOOO!", I let Garren play in our new top soil. He had trouble climbing up at first and said, "I'm too small." Once he defeated the small mountain he played all evening while Chris and I worked on the yard. He was filthy when we were done but I'm glad I let him do his "boy" thing. Calvin sat on the back porch in his bouncy chair and really seemed to enjoy watching us work and breathing the fresh air.

Mountaineer Mud

Ever hear of Mountaineer Mud? It's cornstarch, water, and food coloring. At first Garren hated it and he freaked out when it got on his hands. Then he warmed up to the idea of the liquid-solid goo. Soon it was all over his arms.

Sandal Time Again

Since I'm cheap, I mean frugal, I've gotten pretty good at doing my own toes. I've also started doing everyone else's (mom, sisters, nieces). I wish I had a picture of Bethany's because they are so cute!
